Arndt
An MFA in Ceramics (University of Missouri, 2016) and internationally-exhibited ceramicist, Kait Arndt now serves as Professor and Ceramic Studio Coordinator at Northern Arizona University, in addition to her own studio practice. Her work was recently featured in conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) in Minneapolis, and she was included in the 2017 exhibition A City in Dialogue with the World “Jing Piao” at the Jingdezhen Ceramic Museum in Jingdezhen, China, among many other exhibitions worldwide. The work she brings as a returning artist to Sager Braudis Gallery contemporizes notions of tradition, history, and function, acknowledging the deep legacies of craft in the realms of both ceramics and basketry, but bringing a sense of delicacy and fragility that intentionally contrasts and questions those legacies.
