Sager Reeves Gallery returning artist James Wilson brings to the 2022 February Exhibit a collection ranging from large, epic canvases to intimate works on paper, all rich with Faulknerian narrative and a hint at the magic of remembered and imagined rural scenes. James Wilson is a native Missourian and holds an MFA from Boston University. Honors and distinctions over the course of his long career have included the award of Outstanding Graduate Painter, early involvement forming The Bowery Gallery in New York, solo and group exhibitions at galleries and institutions such as Aaron Berman Gallery and the Munson Center for Creative Arts, and reviews in The New York Times, Arts Magazine, and The Philidelphia Inquirer.
