Ramsey
Grace Ramsey is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Stetson University. She holds an MFA in Painting from Tulane University, and has numerous awards and exhibitions to her name, including the Joan Mitchell Foundation Career Opportunity Grant and inclusion at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. Ramsey’s work is rooted in the human form, which serves as a conduit for expression of less physical phenomena - memories, musings, introspections, and fears - while also providing a stable, tangible access point. She says, “Though my work arises from my private thoughts, I hope that it opens itself to possibility. The narrative and emotional threads grow richer and more complicated with every viewer who might think, for a moment, I’ve seen or felt or dreamed this before.”
