Alejandrina Herrera was born in Monterrey, Mexico. She is a renowned illustrator and draughtsperson whose work has been featured internationally including in BOOOOOOOM, Juxtapoz Magazine, iGNANT, and many other publications and exhibitions, including previous exhibits at Sager Reeves Gallery. Her original drawings in the November Exhibit are remarkably detailed, tiny, and meticulous. Herrera has chosen imagery of everyday memories and everyday family life, and draws attention to the preciousness of each moment and memory by drawing her viewer into small, contained scenes in pencil on paper with ample blank space around. Her skill, but more importantly the tenderness with which she handles her subjects, is undeniable.
