Brooke Bulovsky Cameron is a printmaker and professor emerita of art at the University of Missouri, where she taught for many years after earning her MFA in printmaking from the University of Iowa. Working primarily in intaglio, Cameron developed a distinctive approach that combines traditional techniques such as etching, drypoint, and aquatint with elements drawn from historic photography. Her series The Journey 1–4 reflects on the Lewis and Clark expedition, incorporating imagery derived from archival notes and field drawings made in Missouri. Additional compositions explore the wild beauty of Missouri forest landscapes, uniting historical reference with a lyrical, process-driven visual language.
