Amy Meyer studied art at University of Central Missouri, Indiana State University, and Columbia College, where she completed her degree in painting and drawing. Her work has been featured on CNN Online, Les Bourgeois Artisan Wine Label, and in Lake Lifestyles Magazine, among other publications and honors, and can be found in private and corporate collections including those of Water For Elephants author Sara Gruen, Houser Millard, True Media, and Simmons Bank. Meyer deals in the elements of art – especially texture, shape, and color – to convey mood and often a sense of place. By working in layers of oil paint and cold wax, she builds depth and interest that lead her viewer to look deep into the picture plane.
