Hannah Reeves is a Missouri native and holds an MFA in fibers from the University of Missouri. Her work explores themes of memory and the passage of time, utilizing a range of media to call up nuanced feelings of nostalgia and an abstract sense of place. As an artist, curator, and mother, Reeves’s personal experiences are inextricable from her work. Creating this new series involved an intentional mix of design and chance, utilizing blooming stains of dye and paint as the substrate onto which expressive stitching was mapped.
