Chris Dahlquist’s photographic work creates a delicate interplay between memory, texture, and time. A lifelong photographer based in Kansas City, Dahlquist has exhibited widely across the United States, focusing on accessible art that engages audiences in both traditional and unconventional settings. These recent works bring the imagery of her photographs into the realm of objecthood, with methods that construct both physical and metaphorical depth. This series, like much of her work, invites viewers to consider the role of memory in our conceptions of place.
